Go to any gym and you see the popularity of treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes. There is another way to exercise that is not so boring and time-consuming. The benefits of short, intense exercise continue to pile up, and here is a list of my favorites.

Reasons Why Intensity Training is Good For You

Time Saving Exercise

Working out makes you happier, healthier, more energetic, and helps you sleep. But where do you find the time? Intense exercise does not have to take long. Some studies have shown that you can be fit with four minutes of exercise four days per week. We all can spare four minutes!

More Bang for Your Buck

For the amount of time and effort you are putting in to a short, intense workout, you are making better gains in fitness and physiological health than you do with slow, low intensity exercises. Intensity workouts not only burn fat and better than traditional cardio exercises, they are also better for your heart and help prevent diabetes.

More Fun

Riding on a stationary bike for an hour, staring at the wall, is boring. Working out intensely is much more interesting, exciting, and fun.

Improved Performance

The best player on the field is not necessarily the one who can jump the highest, but the one who jumps first. Intense workouts build the speed you need to dominate in the sport of your choice.

Easier

You do not time a lot of space or equipment to do an intense workout. You can jump and run anywhere.
