It isn’t easy getting up for an early morning workout or run, however, it needs to be done! If you struggle in the morning then this article is for you! When it comes to workouts or even just going for a run, not everybody has the time during the day or even after work or the evening. This leaves only the morning which, in reality, isn’t the most favored time to be exercising/

How to Get out of Bed for a Workout

If this sounds like your situation and you aren’t entirely sure that you can get yourself out of bed each morning, below are some tips from Athletic Republic, Pittsburgh which can help you to do just that!

Where’s the Alarm?

The worst place you can put your alarm is right beside your bed. Why? Because the first thing you will do when you hear it start to buzz is to easily just roll over and hit at it until it stops. Of course, you can guess how this works out! Instead, take your alarm and put it at the foot of your bedroom door or even in an adjacent room where you can still hear it buzz. Once you are up, remind yourself that the hard part is done and that you might as well stay up and get to your exercise!

Get an Early Night

If you don’t sleep well enough the night before then it’s going to make ti all that harder to get up in the morning. Instead of having a late night and an early morning, get to bed early the night before you are due for an early morning workout session. While it may mean missing out on your favorite show, consider recording it and just watching it on your commute to work while you are feeling pumped from a workout. To get the most out of your workout sessions, speak with Athletic Republic, Pittsburgh at (724) 933-4317 and find out more moving your sports training in Franklin Park can help you reach your health and fitness goals faster and safely. With personal trainers and professional grade equipment, you can rest assured that you will get the most out of your precious exercise time.

Coffee!

If possible, set your coffee machine to start brewing a few minutes before you are set to wake up. Not only is there nothing better to waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee but knowing that it’s just a small zombie-walk away is a great way to get your brain and your body out of bed and starting your routine.

Heater

Speaking of setting appliances to turn on, if your bedroom is usually cold in the morning then it’s going to be even harder to wake up in the morning. Instead of battling through a cold start, set your heater to turn on about five minutes before your (first) alarm to get the room a little warmer and more invisint to get you out of bed.

Workout with a Friend

If you don’t have any real reason to get yourself out of bed then it can be difficult to convince yourself to move in the morning. However, if you have a friend who is waiting for you then you need to get out of bed, otherwise, you will leave them out in the cold waiting by themselves. Speak with your local friends who are also looking to improve their health and fitness or even join a local running group which runs right past your house. If you aren’t up, instruct them to bang on your door until they see your weary face ready to exercise!

Pets

If you have a dog then you have a great reason to get out of bed. Instead of taking them for a night time walk when you get home from work, switch it for a morning run. If your dog sleeps inside, be sure to leave your bedroom open so that they can come and annoy you in anticipation of going outside. If you don’t think that this will work then try it once and you will change your mind!
